  • 1. Confirm the substrate is clean, dry, sound and free from dust, grease, curing compounds, coatings and other bond breakers.
  • 2. Check existing tiles are sound and not loose or drummy; mechanically grind the surface where adhesion is uncertain and remove all dust.
  • 3. Prime porous concrete with ACT PR-2 and non-porous or slightly porous concrete, tiles, stone or epoxy coatings with ACT PR-1.
  • 4. Where concrete or screed moisture exceeds 5.5%, or an on-ground slab lacks an effective moisture barrier, apply two coats of ACT EP-2 and install LVL-25 within 24 hours of the final coat.
  • 5. Allow the selected primer to dry fully.
  • 6. Mix one 20 kg bag with 4.6–4.8 L of cool, clean water at approximately 650 rpm for 2–3 minutes. Stand for no more than one minute, then apply.
  • 7. Pour continuously into the wet leading edge and lightly spread by hand trowel, or pump through suitable equipment operated by a qualified floorer.
  • 8. For 25–100 mm applications, add up to 20 kg of clean 2–5 mm aggregate to each 20 kg of mixed LVL-25 in accordance with the PDS.
  • 9. Protect the work during setting. At 23°C and 50% RH, allow approximately 2 hours before foot traffic, 4 hours before tiling and 24 hours before resilient flooring.
