ACT SCR-100 is a pre-blended, one-component, high-strength cementitious screed for forming 10–100 mm internal and external floor beds before tiling and compatible flooring systems. Suitable over fully cured, prepared concrete
  • Pre-blended manufacture provides a consistent alternative to site-batched sand and cement screeds.
  • The one-component powder mixes with water for straightforward on-site preparation.
  • A 10–100 mm application range supports both thin and thick screed-bed construction.

  • Mixes with approximately 2.2 L of clean drinking water per 20 kg bag.
  • Mandatory wet slurry bond coat over prepared concrete substrates.
  • Covers approximately 1 m² per bag at 10 mm thickness.
  • Can be tiled after a minimum 24 hours at 23°C, subject to thickness and site conditions.
  • Suitable for thin- and thick-bed screed applications.
  • Excellent workability for manual placing, compacting and ruling.
  • ACT AD-1 may be used as specified to improve compressive strength, flexibility and adhesion.
  • Grey powder with VOC below 1 g/L according to the supplied SDS.
  • Shelf life up to 12 months in unopened original packaging under the stated storage conditions.
  • 1. Confirm the substrate is sound, fully cured where concrete, clean and dry, and free of dust, wax, oil, grease, laitance, curing compounds, paint, coatings and other bond-inhibiting contamination.
  • 2. Concrete slabs must be at least 28 days old and sufficiently absorptive. Prime impervious or non-porous substrates with ACT PR-1 as specified in the current PDS.
  • 3. Install a mandatory slurry bond coat over prepared concrete. Either dilute ACT AD-1 with clean water 1:1 and mix with Portland cement, or mix ACT ADH-55 with clean water to a slurry consistency.
  • 4. Brush the selected slurry thoroughly into the substrate using a stiff broom.
  • 5. Measure approximately 2.2 L of clean drinking water per 20 kg bag. Slowly add SCR-100 powder and mechanically mix with a suitable drill and paddle to a consistent blend.
  • 6. Place SCR-100 over the slurry coat while the slurry remains wet. Do not leave the mixed screed standing in the bucket.
  • 7. Compact and rule the screed with a straight edge to the specified falls, levels and thickness between 10 mm and 100 mm.
  • 8. Incorporate movement joints in accordance with the current project requirements and the PDS reference to AS 3958.1-2007. Treat post-tensioned slabs as flexible substrates.
  • 9. Use appropriate reinforcing mesh where the screed thickness exceeds 70 mm.
  • 10. Allow a minimum 24 hours at 23°C before tiling. Extend curing where required for greater thickness, lower temperature, higher humidity or other site conditions. Clean tools with water while material remains wet.
  • Pre-blended grey cementitious powder supplied in a 20 kg bag. Mix one bag with approximately 2.2 L of clean drinking water and apply from 10–100 mm. Coverage is approximately 1 m² per bag at 10 mm thickness. Allow a minimum 24 hours at 23°C before tiling, noting that drying varies with screed thickness and site conditions. Application temperature is 5–35°C. VOC is below 1 g/L according to the supplied SDS. Shelf life is up to 12 months in unopened original packaging stored cool, dry and off the floor.
