Application Guide
- 1. Ensure the substrate is sound, clean, smooth and free of contamination and standing water; observe substrate cure periods in the TDS.
- 2. Prime porous substrates, including concrete, render, fibre cement, plasterboard and plywood, with Bostik Multiprime. Use Bostik N40 Primer on specified rigid plastic and metal penetrations by the two-cloth method.
- 3. Detail junctions, joints and penetrations with a suitable specified sealant and bond breaker before coating.
- 4. Apply two coats by brush, roller or trowel at 0.75 mm wet film thickness each; check with a wet film gauge. Allow at least 2 hours per coat at 23°C/50% RH and achieve at least 0.9 mm total dry film for waterproofing.
- 5. Protect during initial 24-hour cure and until the tile or other protective wearing system is installed. Wait 72 hours before flood testing.
Specifications & Standards
- 15 L gold pail. Class 3 fibre-reinforced water-based polyurethane; approx. 60% volume solids and 1.3 kg/L specific gravity. Waterproofing: two coats at 0.75 mm wet each for minimum 0.9 mm dry film and approx. 10 m² per pail. Recoat after 2 hours per coat and final drying 24 hours after last coat at 23°C/50% RH; flood test after 72 hours. Apply between 5°C and 35°C. Store unopened at 5–30°C for up to 12 months.
