Application Guide
- 1. Confirm the graded substrate is sound, smooth, clean and free of contaminants and standing water.
- 2. Prime porous substrates with Bostik Multiprime A530; prepare rigid plastic and metal with Bostik N40 Primer using the two-cloth method.
- 3. Install a compatible Bostik bond breaker at junctions, changes of plane and penetrations as required.
- 4. Apply the first coat by brush, roller, trowel or spray and verify wet film build with a gauge.
- 5. Recoat after 1–2 hours at 22°C and 50% RH, applying the second coat to achieve the specified film thickness.
- 6. Protect the membrane during its initial 24-hour cure; tile after 4–6 hours in non-critical areas or flood test after 24 hours under stated conditions.
Specifications & Standards
- Class 3 water-based polyurethane membrane supplied as a light grey, smooth paste. Two coats provide approximately 11.7 m² coverage per 15 L pail for a waterproof system at 0.9 mm minimum dry film thickness. Recoat after 1–2 hours and allow 24 hours before flood testing at 22°C and 50% RH.
