Application Guide
- 1. Ensure substrates are sound, smooth, clean and free of standing water. New concrete and render require at least 28 days' cure; sand and cement screeds and polymer-modified renders at least 7 days.
- 2. Prime porous surfaces with Bostik Multiprime. Use Bostik N40 Primer by the two-cloth method on specified rigid plastic and metal details.
- 3. Detail junctions, joints and penetrations with specified Bostik V4 Titanium, V70 or 6S silicone bond breakers, including the TDS cove dimensions and joint tape requirements.
- 4. Apply two coats by brush, roller or trowel at 0.8 mm wet each. Gauge each coat; achieve minimum 1.0 mm total dry film. Allow 1–2 hours per coat at 23°C/50% RH.
- 5. Protect during initial 24-hour drying and until the wearing surface is installed. Wait 72 hours at 22°C/50% RH before flood testing and confirm details are dry.
Specifications & Standards
- 15 L blue pail; one-part water-based polyurethane; Class 3; VOC 5 g/L. Approx. 1.3 kg/L specific gravity. Two coats at 0.8 mm wet each for minimum 1.0 mm total dry film; approx. 9–9.5 m² per pail. Drying 1–2 hours per coat and final drying 24 hours after last coat at 23°C/50% RH. Apply at air and substrate temperatures 5–35°C. Shelf life 12 months unopened at 5–30°C, protected from sun, heat, moisture and freezing.
