EMPTY DOM REMOVE PROTECTOR
Forspec PROBOND 1100 is a two-component, high-strength epoxy adhesive for bonding, filling and repair work on concrete and masonry. It is designed for bonding freshly mixed concrete to hardened concrete
  • Provides 55.2 MPa compressive strength and 29.02 MPa tensile strength.
  • Bonds freshly mixed concrete to sound, hardened concrete.
  • Suitable for both horizontal and vertical repair applications.
  • Fills prepared static cracks and voids from 3–20 mm
  • Suitable for horizontal and vertical applications
  • Low 0.2% shrinkage on cure
  • Suitable for selected Forspec sheet-membrane terminations
  • Compliant with AS/NZS 4020 for potable-water contact after curing
  • Not suitable for cracks subject to movement
  • 1. Confirm the repair is suitable for a rigid epoxy. Do not use PROBOND 1100 on cracks subject to movement.
  • 2. Allow new concrete to cure for at least 28 days. Mechanically remove dirt, dust, curing compounds, oils, grease, sealers, coatings and weak material.
  • 3. Rough-grind, scarify, bush-hammer or otherwise texture smooth surfaces, then vacuum clean. Both bonding surfaces must be sound, dry and contaminant-free.
  • 4. Pre-condition Part A and Part B to 21–24°C. Combine equal parts in a clean pail and mix at 300–400 rpm for 2–3 minutes, scraping the sides and base until uniform and streak-free.
  • 5. Apply immediately while workable. At 24°C, the stated working time is approximately 45 minutes and reduces as temperature rises.
  • 6. For static cracks and voids, inject or gravity-feed the mixed adhesive into prepared openings from 3–20 mm wide. Fill larger voids in layers to limit trapped air.
  • 7. For anchoring, partially fill the prepared hole, insert the bolt or dowel with a slow twisting motion, remove excess and leave undisturbed. For small spall repairs, cut to sound square edges, press in the adhesive and trowel flush.
  • 8. For selected Forspec sheet-membrane terminations, prepare the reglet, install the membrane to its current TDS, fill and trowel the termination flush.
  • 9. Protect the repair until fully cured before loading, traffic, grinding, overcoating or flood testing. Cure varies with temperature; verify the current TDS before use.
  • 10. Clean uncured residue from tools with a mild solvent. Cured epoxy requires mechanical removal.
  • Product type: Two-component high-strength epoxy adhesive
  • Pack size: 10 kg kit comprising 5 kg Part A and 5 kg Part B

  • Viscosity: 2,210 cPs at 25°C
  • Gel time: 25 minutes for 60 g mass
  • Working time: Approximately 45 minutes at 24°C
  • Tack-free time: 3–5 hours at 23°C
  • Application temperature: 5°C to 35°C
  • Service temperature after curing: -7°C to 50°C
  • Tensile strength: 29.02 MPa to ASTM D638-14
  • Compressive strength: 55.2 MPa to ASTM D695-15
  • Flexural strength: 35.37 MPa to ASTM D790-17
  • Shrinkage on cure: 0.2%
  • Hardened-to-hardened concrete bond strength: 15.6 MPa at 2 days; 20.1 MPa at 14 days
  • Shelf life: 24 months in original unopened packaging stored dry at 23°C and 50% RH
  • Potable-water contact: TDS states compliance with AS/NZS 4020 after curing
  • Limitations: Not for moving cracks, large or deep patch repairs, or thinning with solvents
