Mapei Mapegrout T40 25kg is a thixotropic, fibre-reinforced structural repair mortar designed for vertical and overhead concrete repairs. This shrinkage-compensated formulation develops approximately 40MPa compressive strength at 28 days and can be applied at 5β35mm per layer without sagging.
Commonly used for repairing spalled concrete on balconies, beams, columns and soffits, Mapegrout T40 is suitable for load-bearing structural elements in internal and external environments. Where required, it can be applied over an appropriate bonding system in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.

Mapegrout T40 β Application & Technical FAQs
Mapegrout T40 can typically be applied between 10 mm and 40 mm per layer depending on the repair depth and substrate preparation. Always refer to the manufacturer's technical data sheet for reinforcement treatment and bonding slurry requirements.
Yes. Mapegrout T40 is a thixotropic repair mortar, meaning it holds its shape and will not slump when applied to vertical surfaces or ceilings. This allows it to be applied without formwork in repair areas such as beams, columns, balconies and soffits.
Mapegrout T40 develops compressive strength exceeding 40 MPa after 28 days, making it suitable for structural and non-structural concrete repair work where medium mechanical performance is required. It also meets EN 1504-3 Class R3 requirements for concrete repair mortars.
Yes. When applied to properly prepared concrete, Mapegrout T40 provides excellent adhesion to existing substrates. For best results, the concrete surface should be roughened and saturated with water before application, and any exposed reinforcing steel should be treated with a corrosion protection system such as Mapefer 1K.
Yes. Mapegrout T40 is designed for repairing degraded concrete surfaces and rebuilding protective cover over reinforcement. It complies with EN 1504-3 requirements for Class R3 repair mortars, which are commonly used for structural repair applications such as beams, columns, tunnels and hydraulic structures.
