PENETRON Peneplug stops active water leaks in concrete and masonry so the next repair or waterproofing stage can proceed. This rapid-setting hydraulic water plug forms a firm cementitious seal in prepared leaking cracks, joints and form-tie holes, including work under water pressure. Its approximately 30-second setting time suits localised leak-stopping where conventional repair mortars would wash out. Supplied in a 25 kg pail, it can be used internally, externally and underwater as directed. Prepare the chase into sound material and mix small quantities; complete the surrounding repair with the specified PENETRON system after the flow is stopped.

Can Peneplug stop an active leak under pressure?
Yes. The manufacturer identifies active-water leak stopping as its intended use. Cut back to sound material, form the receiving chase and force the small-batch plug into the leak, holding it firmly until set. Complete the specified surrounding repair after flow stops.
How quickly does Peneplug set?
The TDS gives approximately 15 seconds of mixing followed by setting about 30 seconds later. Setting depends strongly on water quantity and temperature. Prepare the leak area and tools before mixing, and use only a small batch.
How much water should I add?
The manufacturer’s reference mix at 20°C is approximately 0.25 L water per 1.1 kg powder. Aim for dry-pack consistency that holds its shape when squeezed but can crumble under finger pressure. Do not mix the whole pail for a small leak.
Can it be used underwater?
Yes, underwater use is listed. The substrate must still be prepared into sound material and the plug held firmly in the receiving area until it sets. Select the full repair approach for the water flow and surrounding structure.
Is stopping the leak the whole waterproofing repair?
Not necessarily. The manufacturer follows the plug with a PENETRON bond coat, PENECRETE MORTAR to fill the remaining void and a final PENETRON coat after light pre-wetting. The surrounding structure, joints and cause of leakage still need assessment.
How much area does the 25 kg pail cover?
