  • 1. Obtain the engineer’s crack rectification design. Confirm non-moving cracks 0.1–1.0 mm wide; assess displaced or live cracks before proceeding. Do not inject movement joints.
  • 2. Remove dust, laitance, grease, oil, curing compounds, coatings and debris using suitable mechanical preparation, oil-free air or vacuum. Concrete must be sound, clean, dry or slightly damp, with no running water. Apply at 10–30°C.
  • 3. Stop active ingress with ACTFLEX HYDROPLUG, or specify ACTFLEX PU200 where the crack carries water, following the approved system. Never inject ER300 into an active leak.
  • 4. Drill at 45–60° to intersect the crack at mid-depth, at 200–300 mm centres. Clear drilling dust and secure mechanical packers. Surface-seal wider or leaking crack lines with PROBOND 1100 where required; allow the seal to cure fully.
  • 5. Use the specified FORSPEC INJEXA SWDM 2500 dual-feed machine. Load Part A and Part B separately at the specified 2:1 ratio by weight. Do not premix, dilute, substitute a volume ratio or split kits. Check nozzle, connections and pressure calibration before starting.
  • 6. Inject from the lowest packer upwards. Start slowly at 0.5–1.0 MPa; increase only as required, never exceeding 2.5 MPa. When resin reaches the next port, cap the completed packer and continue. Follow the TDS refusal procedure, monitor leaks and record uptake at every port.
  • 7. Complete work within the approximately 35-minute pot life at 25°C/50% RH. Flush both lines before extended pauses and immediately after use with an SDS-permitted epoxy-compatible solvent. Do not leave mixed resin standing in bulk.
  • 8. At 25°C/50% RH, allow 18 hours before traffic/loading, packer removal and surface finishing. Patch holes with non-shrink grout or epoxy mortar; remove surface seal/excess resin mechanically. Full cure is 7 days. Allow longer in cool conditions; structural loading remains subject to the engineer’s approval.
  • 9. Inspect the repaired crack, retain injection records and complete engineer-specified verification after full cure. Read both component SDSs before use and follow the pressure-injection, PPE, ventilation, clean-up and disposal requirements.
  • Estimating: demand in mL/m = crack width (mm) × depth (mm). The TDS yields approx. 13.9 L per 15 kg kit. Example: 0.5 × 150 mm = 75 mL/m, approximately 185 theoretical metres per kit. Voids, branching, priming, mixers and flushing increase consumption; trial the first section.
  • 15 kg kit: 10 kg Part A resin + 5 kg Part B hardener; 2:1 by weight.
  • Mixed appearance: transparent to light yellow; density 1.06–1.10 g/cm³.
  • Application temperature: 10–30°C, ambient and substrate.
  • At 25°C/50% RH: approximately 35 min pot life; 6–8 h initial set; 18 h before traffic/loading; 7 days full cure.
  • Crack width: 0.1–1.0 mm; packers at 200–300 mm centres.
  • Initial injection pressure: 0.5–1.0 MPa; maximum 2.5 MPa.
  • Manufacturer characteristic strengths: compression >80 MPa (ASTM D695), tension >25 MPa (ASTM D638), flexure >45 MPa (ASTM D790).
  • These are manufacturer R&D values, not accredited certification or engineering design values. Obtain written Forspec confirmation for design use; structural adequacy requires the project engineer.
