  • Must be covered; not for trafficable surfaces or expansion joints.
  • 1. Confirm the surface is sound, smooth, clean and dry; remove contamination, loose layers and protrusions and fill defects. Concrete with residual moisture must first be sealed with Gripset E60 vapour barrier primer.
  • 2. Measure and cut the required length of FG Tape. Press its first exposed adhesive face firmly onto the prepared surface with a spatula, removing all air pockets.
  • 3. Remove the outer release paper. Apply the specified waterstop, puddle flange, Gripset detailing component, BRW sheet membrane or protection board immediately, pressing to form a tight seal.
  • 4. For BRW HD roll ends and terminations, follow the BRW HD TDS and current sheet membrane installation manual for the complete overlap and termination detail. Cover the finished tape; avoid expansion joints, trafficable exposure and direct solvent-based adhesives or finishes.
  • Black double-sided fibreglass-reinforced butyl tape; 50 mm × 15 m roll; 1 mm thickness; 100% solids; specific weight 1.45 g/cm³. Tensile strength >57 N/25 mm longitudinal and transverse; elongation at break 10% (ASTM D1000); peel adhesion >80 N (ASTM D1000); loop tack >70 N (ASTM D6195); cement adhesion strength >70 N (EN 12004 / EN 1348). Application temperature 0–45°C; service temperature −40 to 100°C. Best used within 12 months of purchase; store upright at room temperature in dry internal conditions.
