Technical and product guidance for the item you’re viewing.

  • Class III membrane with elongation greater than 300%
  • Waterproof and vapour resistant, including continuously ponding water
  • Resistant to vibration, movement, flexing, tearing, puncture and impact
  • Solvent-free, non-bituminous construction with no bleed or yellowing
  • Service temperature from -30°C to 80°C
  • Complies with AS 4858 and AS 4654.1
  • 1. Confirm the substrate is clean, sound, smooth and dry, and remove contaminants, projections and standing water.
  • 2. Fill and level defects, voids and cracks; allow concrete to cure for 28 days and render or screed for 7 days.
  • 3. Prime where required: Gripset GP for porous substrates, Gripset OP for non-porous substrates, or the specified Gripset vapour barrier for green or damp substrates. Suitably prepared clean, sound non-mineral surfaces may not require primer.
  • 4. Set out, cut and re-roll the sheet. On floors, work from the lowest point towards the highest; use a vertical joint pattern on walls.
  • 5. Peel back 100–200 mm of release paper and progressively adhere the membrane while smoothing with a flat trowel, heavy roller or float to remove air and creases.
  • 6. Roll the built-in side sealing strip firmly. At end laps, use Gripset BRW FG Tape, overlap each sheet 25 mm onto the tape and overlap the new roll 300 mm over the existing sheet.
  • 7. Detail corners, wall-to-floor junctions, penetrations, wastes and terminations with the specified BRW tapes and minimum overlaps in the current TDS and BRW Installation Manual.
  • 8. Protect the completed membrane from UV exposure, construction traffic and damage before installing backfill, screed, pedestal systems or other specified finishes.
