Gripset BRW HD Tape is a self-adhesive butyl rubber detailing tape with a laminated HDPE facing, supplied in a 150 mm × 10 m roll. It is used with the
  • Self-adhesive tape avoids mixing and wet applied curing at the detail.
  • Forms the specified bond breaker in Gripset BRW HD sheet systems.
  • A 150 mm width allows the tape to span junctions and return onto adjoining surfaces.

  • Acts as a system bond breaker; apply by removing release paper and pressing firmly with a hand roller.

  • 1. Prepare the substrate and install the BRW HD floor sheet according to the current Gripset BRW HD system instructions. Prime surfaces where required by that system; suitably prepared sound non-porous metal, plastic and glazed surfaces generally do not require primer.
  • 2. Measure and cut BRW HD Tape to the required joint length. Gradually remove its release paper and centre it across the junction, returning approximately half the width onto the floor membrane and half up the wall.
  • 3. Maintain at least 50 mm overlap onto the BRW HD floor sheet. Roll the tape firmly with a handheld vinyl roller to remove air pockets and creases.
  • 4. Detail corners and suitable penetrations as shown in Gripset's current BRW installation manual. Cover and protect the completed system from UV and damage.
