Gripset Elastoproof B50 is a 120 mm flexible NBR joint band designed to form the bond breaker within compatible liquid-applied waterproofing systems. Its polyester fleece edges embed into the first
  • Forms the required flexible bond breaker at critical waterproofing junctions and joints.
  • The central NBR zone accommodates multidirectional movement with up to 100% elastic recovery.
  • Polyester fleece edges embed securely into compatible Gripset liquid membranes.

  • Up to 100% elastic recovery
  • Rupture, chemical and water-resistant construction
  • Suitable for areas subject to full immersion
  • Compatible with Gripset Class I, Class II and Class III membranes
  • Fleece edges embed into wet liquid membrane while the central rubber zone remains unbonded
  • Water pressure resistance of 3 bar
  • Temperature resistance from -20Β°C to 90Β°C
  • Not compatible with solvent-based materials and not suitable as a UV-exposed joint seal
  • 1. Confirm that the selected Gripset liquid membrane is suitable for the substrate, exposure and joint movement.
  • 2. Prepare the substrate and complete any required priming in accordance with the membrane TDS.
  • 3. Measure and cut the joint band for wall-to-floor junctions, abutments and movement-joint details.
  • 4. Apply the first membrane coat approximately 150 mm up the wall and onto the floor or adjoining substrate.
  • 5. Embed the polyester fleece edges into the wet membrane and fully wet them out, removing all trapped air.
  • 6. Leave the rear central rubber section unbonded so the flexible zone can accommodate movement.
  • 7. Use a minimum 50 mm overlap where band lengths are joined. Use the specified Elastoproof 90Β° and 270Β° prefabricated corners where available; otherwise cut and fold the bottom leg while keeping all fleece fully bonded.
  • 8. Complete the remaining membrane coats in accordance with the selected membrane TDS.
  • 9. Apply only when the surface temperature is between 5Β°C and 30Β°C. Do not use solvent-based materials and do not leave the band UV exposed externally.
