Application Guide
- Ensure substrates are cured, sufficiently dry, sound and free from crumbling material, grease, oil, varnish and wax
- Allow render to dry at least one week per centimetre of thickness and standard cementitious screeds at least 14 days, unless a specified rapid Mapei screed system is used
- For each 20 kg bag, use 5.6–6.0 L of water for Grey or 5.4–5.8 L for White
- Add the powder to the water, mix to a smooth lump-free consistency, stand for approximately 5 minutes and remix
- Apply a thin contact layer with the smooth side of the trowel, then immediately apply the required bed with the notched side
- Back-butter exterior installations, large-format tiles, heated floors, heavily loaded floors, textured tile backs, swimming pools and tanks
- Press tiles firmly and move them perpendicular to the trowel notches to collapse the ridges and obtain the required coverage
- Maintain wet transfer; if a skin forms, re-trowel while workable or remove and replace the adhesive. Do not add water once setting has commenced
- Grout walls after 4–8 hours and floors after 24 hours; protect from water and rain for at least 24 hours
- Allow light foot traffic after 24 hours, general service after 14 days and 21 days before filling pools or tanks
- Do not use on uncured concrete, timber, metal, rubber, PVC, linoleum or moisture-sensitive stone
