Application Guide
- 1. Confirm the concrete substrate has fully cured and is clean, solid and dry. Do not coat dusty, crumbly or rising-damp surfaces.
- 2. Sandblast or mechanically prepare the surface to remove loose particles, dust, grease, form-release oil and existing paint.
- 3. Repair cracks and deteriorated concrete with a suitable Mapegrout product. Fill pores, honeycombing and surface irregularities with the specified Mapei smoothing compound.
- 4. Where the substrate is damp, apply Triblock P in accordance with its TDS and allow the required cure. Do not use this approach on surfaces subject to rising damp.
- 5. Pour all of Component B into Component A and mix slowly until homogeneous. Do not split the kit. Use within the 30–40 minute pot life at +23°C.
- 6. Apply the first coat by brush, roller or airless spray at 400–600 g/m².
- 7. Apply the second coat after 6–24 hours. Additional coats may be used where the project specification requires them.
- 8. Protect the coating from rain for at least 12 hours. Allow 24 hours before light foot traffic and 3 days for final hardening at +23°C and 50% RH.
