Application Guide
- Ensure substrates are clean, dry and free from dust, wax, oil, grease, laitance, curing compounds, paint, coatings and other bond-breaking contaminants. Fix fibre-cement and plasterboard to the sheet manufacturer's requirements and remove surface dust. Prime Scyon Secura and Cemintel Constructafloor with ACT PR-1. In wet areas, apply ACT WP-1 or another ACT-approved under-tile waterproofing membrane and allow it to fully cure. Test substrate absorption with water; where water beads or is not absorbed, prime with ACT PR-1. Mix one 13 kg bag with approximately 5.5 L of clean drinking water, allow three minutes, then re-stir. Apply with the appropriate notched trowel, maintaining a minimum 2 mm bed on walls and 4 mm on floors. Allow at least seven hours before grouting, with longer curing over impervious substrates or beneath non-absorbent tiles.
