Forspec ACTFLEX 75FC is a one-component, rapid moisture-curing polyurethane joint sealant and adhesive supplied in a 600mL grey foil sausage. It is designed for sealing and waterproofing corner junctions, gaps,
  • One-component packaging allows direct application without on-site mixing.
  • Rapid moisture curing develops a permanently elastic joint or bond.
  • The non-sag consistency supports controlled application in vertical and horizontal joints.
Size:
  • - Very good adhesion to concrete, FC sheeting, timber and metal; PVC requires primer.
  • - Suitable for joint sealing in solvent-based waterproofing applications.
  • - Low odour, non-staining and non-corrosive.
  • - Weather and ageing resistant with high recovery, tear resistance and durability.
  • - Applied from a caulking gun and paintable after full cure, subject to compatibility testing.
  • 1. Ensure all surfaces are structurally sound, clean, dry and free of oil, grease, paint, efflorescence and other bond inhibitors. Repair voids or blowholes and allow preparation work to cure.
  • 2. Design the joint with a minimum 10mm depth and a width between 10mm and 35mm. Use a 1:1 width-to-depth ratio up to 12mm wide and 2:1 for wider joints.
  • 3. Prime where required and allow the primer to dry fully. Use ACTFLEX 700 PU Primer on completely dry internal surfaces before a solvent-based overcoat, ACTFLEX EP 250 on external or uneven surfaces, and ACTFLEX 007 SUPER BOND on metal, wood, PVC and specified non-porous surfaces.
  • 4. Install backing rod to the required depth where necessary after priming.
  • 5. Remove the metal seal, cut the nozzle to the required bead size, attach it securely and load the 600 mL sausage into a suitable caulking gun.
  • 6. Extrude ACTFLEX 75FC into the joint in full contact with the sides and base, avoiding air pockets. Use multiple passes for wider joints where required.
  • 7. Tool the sealant immediately with a curved spatula to compact it against the joint sides and create a smooth finish.
  • 8. Use masking tape for clean edges and remove it while the sealant remains pliable. Clean excess material promptly in accordance with the TDS and SDS.
  • 9. For bonding, apply strips or spots, press components firmly into position and support assemblies above 7kg/m² for up to 15 hours.
  • 10. Allow the sealant to cure before over-painting or service. Allow five days before water-immersion applications.
