Technical and product guidance for the item you’re viewing.

  • Solvent-free and classified as non-hazardous
  • Low water absorption and low vapour transmission
  • Excellent adhesion to correctly prepared and primed substrates
  • Resistant to weathering, UV exposure, fungi and algae
  • Withstands early ponding and permanently wet conditions without re-emulsifying
  • Suitable for exposed light-foot-traffic and under-tile systems
  • Applied by brush or medium nap roller
  • 1. Confirm the substrate is clean, sound, smooth and dry, and remove contaminants, unsound material and existing coatings that may affect adhesion.
  • 2. Repair and level surface defects. Allow concrete to cure for at least 28 days and cement render or sand-cement screeds for at least 7 days.
  • 3. Prime all surfaces: Gripset GP for porous surfaces, Gripset OP for non-porous surfaces, Xpress Primer H2O Plus for green or damp surfaces with residual moisture, or Gripset E60 for rising damp or higher residual moisture conditions.
  • 4. Seal joints, junctions, penetrations, drainage points and cracks with the specified Gripset detailing system before membrane application.
  • 5. Apply the first coat by brush or medium nap roller and regulate coverage using a wet-film gauge.
  • 6. Apply subsequent coats in a different direction to the previous coat.
  • 7. Under tiles, apply at least two coats at 1.5 L/m² total to achieve 1.0 mm dry film thickness.
  • 8. For exposed light-foot-traffic applications, apply three coats at 2 L/m² total to achieve at least 1.3 mm dry film thickness.
  • 9. Allow 24–48 hours before tiling or applying toppings and 72 hours before flood testing under the stated reference conditions.
